Weekend In My Home Town

Thursday my Mom flew into town for Thanksgiving. We decided to head down to Uvalde, my hometown, to check things out, visit old friends and play with two super cute kids, my nephews Josh and Jordan.
Grandma gettting loves.

Every good Grandma spoils her grandchildren with ice cream.

We are down at the park. Look at how tall Josh and Jordan

have gotten. They have grown up so fast.

Brode found a long stick and told me it's his fishing

pole. So he went fishing.

Graham loves his cousins. They were such great help.

My attempt at taking a cute picture of Grandmas

four boys. Didn't really work out well, did it?

Happy Ham. He loved being able to run around while

we were at the park. Freedom!

Our Little Texans

We haven't used the video camera much since coming to Dallas, but we wanted to post a video of the Texan-boys for friends and family who may miss them, or for anyone who wants to see two really cute boys! So here are a few minutes showing part of our move and our little boys having lots of fun together in Texas. Like yesterday's video, there is sound. Enjoy!

The Boise Era

This Saturday is our 4 1/2 year anniversary. It's hard to believe we've been married that long! The time really flies. We are in Dallas now, of course, but we spent our first four years in Boise, Idaho. So we made a little video which commemorates our marriage, the start of our family, and four wonderful years in a place we love.

There is sound, and it's about 4 minutes long. Enjoy!

Random Photos for Grandma Jean

Micah here. I know you check the Blog every day, so I though I'd "reward" your efforts with lots of pictures of your youngest grandkids. We love you Mom!

Remember to click on the photos to enlarge them...
Lindsey is great about taking the kids to the park

Happy Ham!

Playing with his beloved pull-toy (Thanks Nora!)

Getting sleepy...

I don't know who would let him drink that!

Man in a box

No thanks Daddy...

Potty Training Update:

Brode is doing a great job. He's woken up dry 4 nights in a row, and I can't even remember the last time he "didn't make it."
I'm now trying to teach Brode to pee standing up - he's tall enough and it will make going potty away from home much less of an ordeal.
So I put some gold-fish crackers in the toilet and showed Brode how to "shoot the fishies."
He though it was hilarious! Laughed really hard. I asked him if he wanted to try.

"No thanks, Daddy. I'll do it when I'm older."

The man, the myth, the legend - in action.

Play-Group

Every Wednesday the boys and I meet up with several other Moms and their kiddos for our weekly play-group. Thank heavens for this. Not only does the group get the kids out and playing with familiar faces but it gives us Moms a time to chat. We try to meet no matter what the weather is like. Today was an absolutely beautiful day.
78 degrees in November... Say what?? It was such a lovely day we met with our largest group yet at a park for some fun play time.

12 Moms. 23 Kids. Ages ranging from 4 Weeks Old to 4 years. The kids played. The Moms laid out blankets on the grass. We chatted and had picnic lunch. So lovely!

Nothing like shoveling rocks into a bucket, then dumping it out
over and over again. The boys were so entertained.

Mr. Graham eating something he shouldn't.
The one downside to this park is that the ground is small
rocks. Not bark or the soft cement stuff. All the kids kept
putting the rocks in their mouths and throwing was a huge
issue.

Peek-a-boo!

This face says it all.
2 hours later, the boys were so ready to head home.
