A Farewell

Friday Night we got together with some friends to say farewell to a very special family. We have become quite fond of this family and are so sad to see them leave. We are so happy for their new adventure and new life in Houston, and are comforted in the idea that Houston is only a few hours away:)

There is no photo of them, but some cute pictures of my growing boys.

When I first saw this picture I saw myself in him.
What do ya'll think? Am I crazy??

This one too.
I tell my Mom constantly, that this lil dude is the funniest kid
EVER. I can't begin to describe this child to you.
Graham has the cutest personality. He is so silly and HAPPY
most of the time. And the rest of the time he is
unhappy to the EXTREME.

My 4 year old kid. In love with Batman and running fast.
He's discovered his imagination and is now sleeping
on the top bunk. He's says the funniest things.
Constantly gives kisses and hugs and says ever-so
sweetly, "I love you"! He's so full of love.

Bobby. He is the perfect age, right in between Brode
and Graham. He is their best friend. And it is Bobby
who is moving to Houston. Good bye friend.

This is Brode's first time roasting marshmallows.
How pathetic is it that he is four, making s'mores in the park
and not camping.

Delicious. He was hooked.
This really made me miss camping. We stayed at the park
after the sun went down. So all the kids ran around and
played in the dark. A little fire was going while everyone
gathered around to roast marshmallows. It was such a nice night.

Now these pics are of kids that i don't know. Where did my Grammy and Brode go? You're absolutely correct that Graham looks like you did as a child. They are growing up so fast! Please, please convince Micah to come home next summer so we can take the boys camping and fishing....no body should grow up without those skills!!! Love you guys and miss you!!!

I could tell that Graham has had a growth spurt in the State Fair photos. Now this new post just validates that. I could see that his legs have gotten longer (sure sign that toddlerhood is no longer) and in these new pix I can see that his face and neck have slimmed out and gotten longer. I can see you in him and also his dad. It will be fun to see his adult self finally emerge. And did I see him standing in the sand/gravel? I know, he has shoes on. I love all these pictures. Don't you love this balmy weather. I am always SO ready for the heat to break. Now is the time to picnic and do other fun outside stuff. Have fun with the Dobbs this week.
