This past week was a doozy for us. Micron had asked for Volunteers for Lay-offs. Micah and I were so excited. He doesn't want to work late nights any longer and I would so love to have my husband, my protector at home with me at nights. So he jumped on the chance to get laid off with an amazing severance package. We'll he went into work on Tuesday and found out he wasn't getting laid off right now. We were so bummed and completely heart-broken.
To make up for it, we decided to spend our time as a family doing lots of fun things to keep our mind off of our let-down.
Thursday night after dinner we went out for ice cream at my favorite place. Maggie Moos. I love love love Maggies Fudge with peanut butter sauce. So yummy! (I ate so much of this when I was pregnant with Brode, the store was so close to our house back then). Brode got Cotton candy. We asked him what color and he said blue. But to tell you the truth it was Delicious!!!!

My blue-baby boy.

Micah and I stole alot of Brode's yummy blue ice cream. It seriously was so good and I mean, come on, it is not like he would have or even should have eaten it all on his own.
Friday night, of course, was spent watching BSU play. We have our Season Tickets to Mike and Cassie Sheltons theater room. Nothing is sweeter than sitting on the most comfortable leather couch, in the dark, with just Micah, Cassie and Mike, drinking all the Diet Coke and eating all the candy and popcorn we can stand (without paying money) and watching the game on a huge Projection Screen TV in Hi-Def. Oh thank you!
Then Saturday Morning, we had a Halloween "Dress Rehearsal". The Boise Zoo was hosting its annual BOO at the ZOO on Saturday. All the kids dressed in there Halloween Costumes and walked around looking at all the animals. They had people handing out candy too. It was a lot of fun, but there were alot of people there. Needless to say, we did not stay long.

Graham the "cow"

Micah, "milking" the cow. Haha!

Daddy and his little "Ninja" getting candy.

Brode loved this "horsey".

After the Zoo, we headed over to the park, so Brode could get in some much needed swing time.

Then it was lunchtime. We got burgers and fries and had a picnic on Simplots Hill. This is our favorite spot. Micah and I had many dates here before we got married. In fact this is where Micah proposed.

Brode explored. He climbed up the hill. He was so afraid to walk back down because it was so steep. So he scooted down it on his bum.

Then on his tummy.
This weekend was so much fun. I hope we have many more fun times!
