We went out to our pool for the first time this season. We have waited for the perfect time. I think the water was so perfect, it felt so great to get in. Brode could not wait. He's our little water bug. Graham.... not so much.
Can you guess what Brode is telling me he wants?
That's right, a snorkel and goggles like his friend Savannah has.
Notice the shoes still on his feet.
He also has a boat in his left hand.
This was the extent to his pool experience.
It was the same last year. He'll occasionally
get in with Micah or myself,
but will have a tight grasp around
the neck and legs wrapped tightly around our waist.
He loves minimal contact with the water.
But loves even more to watch Brode play
and jump in the pool. He kept saying,
"Wow...that was awesome Brode!"
It even cuter when he says it with his little stutter.
We grilled dinner out by the pool and just
happened to run into our neighbors and friends
who were also grilling their
dinner. We decided to eat together.
It was so nice getting to know them better.
I can definitely sense more nights like this
one with them.

Just played and splashed and watched for lizards.
