Halloween 2012

Edmond has a ton of fun things to do around Halloween time. Which gave us multiple reasons to dress up. First up was Story Book Forest out by Acadia Lake. Kids dress up and you walk through the forest, stopping at characters from Children's Nursery Rhymes and famous stories. I think its very lame, but the boys love it. Plus they get candy at every stop. What's not to love?
Next, was our Ward Fall Festival, which was planned by the Primary Presidency. It was so fun. Chili Cook Off. Corn Bread Cook Off. Cake Walk. Face Painting. Costumes. Trunk or Treating. More fun.
Then on another night, we ventured up to our MAC, Multipurpose Activity Center, to participate in more carnival games, made a spider out of pipe cleaner and watched Pumpkins get thrown from homemade catapults.
Finally, Halloween came. We headed to downtown Edmond and trick or treated at all the shops and restaraunts. Bounced on bounce houses and visited with good friends. Once we made the rounds, we headed home to trick or treat in our neighborhood. Rocco was excited to be outside roaming freely. The boys were so stoked. Well Graham was excited 5 houses worth. And then was done. He sat in the house next to the front door and ate candy while watching me hand out candy to the Trick or Treaters.
Glad Halloween is over. I think we have candy to last us all year...

I only have pictures of the decorations we did.
The rest of the night is a complete blur, with no pictures to show for it.

My little Skeleton was so excited...

The ghost moves and makes scary sounds.

Very scared.

HISTORY OF THE SKELETON COSTUME
Someone gave us the skeleton sweats when Brode was a baby. I wanna say Uncle Bruce and Aunt Wendy. Not 100% sure. Each one of our boys has been skeleton, their 2nd Halloween.

Thank you sweetheart for sharing your Halloween with me. Graham looks so cute in his glasses and he seemed really proud of his o.p. costume. Brode seemed in his element going around in his choice of costumes. And Rocco makes such a cute little skeleton......wasn't it Nora who gave you that costume when Brode was a baby? It looks like you had quite a Happy Halloween.FUN FUN FUN

Oh thank you Linds. These are such great photos. I am impressed with all the fun things you had to do. I would totally enjoy the Fairytale land. It really looks awesome to me. I think your decorations for the party are outstanding. Wow, what an organizer/planner you are. I'm so glad it went well. I saw a comment from someone on Facebook thanking and complimenting you.
It is hilarious that Brode worked through a variety of costumes. And that Rocco got scared. How cute! So sweet that you documented it. And Graham deciding he has had enough and sits and watches you hand out candy! Funny! But so good of you to respect his decision and allow him to be who he is. I also love the skelton costume. What a great investment that was! Last year I was the judge of costumes at our ward Trunk or Treat and one of the awards went to a two-year-old in the cutest little chicken costume. Her mom confided in me later that so far, all her kids had worn it at age two. It was just so stinking cute. Had to of cost a fortune -- probably a gift from a grandparent for #1 grandchild. And --- you looks GREAT in the one photo that includes you. Hope to get to see you.
