Starting the blog thing

Well this is our little Kormylo Family blog.  Everyone is doing it, so we will too (Even though we will try to teach our kids the opposite of that principle later on)!

So the first two and a half months of the new year have flown by.  Christmas was great and Lindsey is enjoying the prospects of no school for a long time, now that she is a big college grad!  We started off January by having Micah work a whole lot.  No school for Micah means lots of overtime.  Lindsey stayed at home with Brode and got the house all packed up and ready to move.  No sooner had we gotten all moved in (but not unpacked) than we had to start watching a family of four kids (the Cooley's - ages 6 months to 8 years, plus Brode) for nine days.  We had a really good time, although Micah seriously considered kidnapping Philip, the little six month-old.  He was just so cute and fat and snugly!  As much as we loved the four kids though, it was exhausting, especially for Lindsey who pretty much flew solo as Micah added a new semester of school to his schedule.  They had a piano, and our little maestro really loved banging on it!

One week later we watched Micah's sister's four girls for nine days.  Talk about perfect Angels! We really think that Micah's sister Cassie should write a book on parenting because we have never even heard of a group of more well-behaved girls.
Four days later, we watched the five Gregory kids (plus Brode) for nine days!  They were all really good as well.  The highlight was definitely seeing Brode freak out as he lay on his back with a gigantic boxer (dog, not fighter) licking and sniffing his face.  Brode warmed up to the dog though, and had a lot of fun poking eyes and pulling his tail.
So to sum up our 27 days of living in other people's houses and watching their kids:  birth control!  Now you may be thinking, "Yeah right, this coming from the couple who will have two kids before their third anniversary.  This coming from the woman who has spent more than half her married life being pregnant!"  But SERIOUSLY, no more babies for Lindsey and Micah for a long time! (Starting in May, when little Graham will be born that is)

Holy.Cow. So you really WEREN'T kidding when you said you've been beyond busy the last month. What's with everyone leaving for 9 days at a time?! I'm soooo glad you're blogging! I've missed you.
